It...Revisited

It came to me again; calling chanting. In some unknown language I didn't recognize as my own. This time, he brought someone with him. His voice was deeper; darker; stronger.

I told them both; I don't belong to you.

They ignored me at first; continuing on with their conversation; as if I hadn't spoken a word. But then I raised my voice and spoke more louder. Singing the praises and the love I have for ANOTHER

I don't belong to you! I said. This time they stopped talking. They both listened to me and then in an instant; they both were gone!!!

I went back to sleep and started to dream some more...

IT'S FOLLOWING ME !!!

Almost made it through the night with no problems; but just before day; here HE comes!!!

Here's the dream...

I'm a writer. Perhaps its always on my subconscious. When I went to bed last night, I was not thinking of anything creepy. Sometimes that matters. Sometimes it doesn't.

I had a nightmare that played like a movie. I wasn't a writer or director; but I was in it. The murderer was not after me.

(Or at least I thought he wasn't initially)

I was watching a movie with someone else being followed.

The murderer turned out to be a doctor. He was evil. Wore scrubs and all as he killed about 4 people in cold blood. I saw the first victim he massacred; he had blood running out of his mouth.

The police was looking for the killer who was now in the general public. He was apprehended near my grandmother's house in front of an old funeral home. (This funeral home is not creepy. It's pretty nice actually)

Me and some other people were trying to hide from the killer before the police came. While I was hiding a really cute guy ran up beside me. He was hiding too! He was crying!! (Totally scared) I hugged him. A detective came from out of nowhere and wanted to use the hot guy as bait. I told the guy 'No don't do it!'

He declined and long story short: the police ended up finding the killer doctor without our help.

So now its all over. I'm walking home to my grandmother's house. Another creepy guy appears from out of nowhere. He looked like the killer!! But how could that be? The police just caught the killer right?

I tried to ignore him. I wanted everything to be over! I wanted everything to go back to normal.

The bad guy had been caught: and all was well now?

He's talking on the phone to someone. He tells the person on the phone that everybody got it wrong; he was the killer and he was still alive!!

As I walked along; I tried to ignore him. I was tired of running and hiding.

But it didn't matter. The killer started to follow me; talking louder and louder so I could hear him. He wanted me to know he was still around. Still terrorizing; still coming for the people he wanted.

I got to the corner of the street that leads to my grandma's house. I ran into the main character in the movie. She was on the phone with her boyfriend. She'd found out the killer was still alive. She was crying and fussing at her boyfriend. (I don't know why)

I ran pass her. I was trying to make it to my grandma's house. The killer was on my trail. By the time I looked back: he'd already killed the main girl in the story. He did something really weird to her face.

(Think about the 'Saw' movies)

I tried to run faster; but I knew he was hot on my trail.

Once I was on my grandma's street; I hid in an old parked car. When the killer came by; I was hoping he'd pass me; but no such luck. He knew I was there. There was nowhere to run; nowhere to hide. I had to fight him. So I just stepped out the car and ATTACKED HIM. I 'willed' someone to help me.

Someone who lived in a house next to the parked car came outside. They started to help me. I think I pulled the murderers arm off. (Think about those creepy zombies in the 'Walking Dead')

I woke up; as the neighbors apprehended this killer who was now just a faceless shadow...

What does all this mean???

It's after me! It won't leave me alone. I also can't allow other people to fight for me. That won't work! I have to fight it for myself. But I am TIRED!!!

I mean really TIRED!!!

Can never pause for 30 seconds to catch my breath...smh

But 'HE' doesn't care. He's coming anyway. I just have to be ready for when he reappears...

(Pray my strength guys...)

Happy Friday :(

Dead Part 3 (Finale) ...Mr. Charlie Pumpernickel

When the man spoke these words, Bianca fell on her face and knees. Her matted mane gathered in clumps on the floor. Her heart was wrought with terror. Tiny pins and needles poked at her skin as  a slow lump crept up her throat. This cannot be true. Things like this just did not happen.

There was no way she could fathom being locked in that stone tomb with that strange man forever. Maybe she was dreaming. Yes, that must be it. And if she was, she wanted to awake from the terrible nightmare immediately!

The man laughed devilishly as his lips curled up in a bow. "Bianca, Bianca, dear sweet Bianca. I do hate to see you cry. Your crying signifies ignorance. So please allow me to clear some things up for you. Look into my eyes. My dazzling green; immaculate eyes."

Bianca didn't move. Yet pressed her face into the cold concrete floor, where her tears gathered into miniature pools. "No", she whispered. "I cannot look upon your face. I'm too frightened! This is more than I can bare."

Mr. Charlie's brow wrinkled with anger. "You cannot look at me!" he shouted. "Cannot look at me? Why you little self-centered, self righteous conniving little twit. How dare you judge me when I am of your own making! I was fashioned by your hands! Like a spider spinning its web. You formed me into existence! You made me! You created me!"

Grabbing her by the head, he wound his hands around her dark locks; forcing her head back; commanding that she stare deep into his eyes. Bianca cried all the more. She kept her eyes closed. The mans icy presence made her skin crawl. His evil aura illuminated all the more now that he was touching her. He felt cold and brisk like ice. Void of anything living; empty of anything good.

"Look into my eyes. Least I grow angry and pluck yours out like little brown marbles!" he hissed.

Bianca's eyes flung open. She didn't want to look at him. But she knew he was angry and God only knew what he'd do to her if she wasn't obedient.

"Yes! Yes! Now that's better. Stare into my eyes. My glowing green eyes. Admire the workmanship of your handy work.

Don't you find me beautiful? Do you enjoy the icy touch of my skin?" Bianca was mortified; enveloped in fear; wrought with terror. She didn't want to answer the strange man. He was hideous; wicked: a walking nightmare! In her wildest dreams; she never would have saw him. How could he insist he was a product of her own making? She wasn't perfect. But she wasn't that bad either: was she

His skin was smooth yet extremely pale like he'd been covered with liquid chalk. His lips were pink with a row of white teeth peeking from behind. His bushy eyebrows resembled to orange caterpillars. He stroked Bianca on the side of the face with the back of his hand.

"Yes, Yes that's it." he cooed. "No need to fight the inevitable Bianca. Accept your fate. Release your will and dreams of returning home. You haven't been a very good girl and now the universe has released you to me. Your end has come. Perhaps sooner than you'd imagine."

Bianca's teared strained eyes impaired her vision. She was glad. She couldn't bare staring at the man any longer. He petrified her. He horrified her. She wanted him to release her from his icy grip that made her flesh crawl but she accepted his embrace; too afraid to implicate signs of rebellion. "Why do I have to stay here? Why won't you let me go home? Why do you say I created you?"

Mr. Charlie released his grip and stood.

Reaching inside his pocket he took out a silver clock. It dangled in the air as soft ticking sounds echoed from its metal chambers. Bianca slid back on her hands and feet. Letting out a huge sigh of relief.  She was glad the man released her.

"All life; all things have an expiration date. A day of reckoning; if you will. Some people are aware of this, therefore they try to make each day count. They try to live their lives peacefully; as humble as they know how. Helping others; loving others. Respecting others. And there are the people like you Bianca. The bullies of the universe. The oppressors; the tormentors; the hell raisers. With the time you have been awarded; you did nothing except raise me; worship me; nurture me."

Bianca's eyes widened as she looked on in total bewilderment. Mr. Charlie was really getting on her nerves. Speaking in riddles: patronizing her when all she wanted was some answers on how to get the heck out of there. She cleared her throat "Sir, please. I don't understand what you are talking about. All I want to do is go home. Please just tell me how to get out of here and I will be on my way."

A sinister smile graced Charlie's lips as his brow wrinkled with frustration. With one quick leap like a giant panther he lunged at Bianca, wrapping his hands around her throat; pinning her against the wall. "You don't get it! You just don't get it! Do you little mocking bird? You are not leaving here! You will never leave here! You will never go home because you are dead!

Dead! Dead! Dead!

Dead as a door nail dead!!! I am your master! Your eternal tormentor! Your everlasting curse! You are here because you chose to be here. When you were alive; you were an abuser; a tormentor; an oppressor; a demon! You took pleasure in other peoples pain; and one day; your actions caught up with you. Your time expired. Your victim killed you. It was an accident of course. But I'm glad you're here all the same. I've been waiting to meet you. To share with you; all you've created me to be. I want to share with you what you always gave the rest of the world!"

Bianca sniffed violently as her nose filled with mucous. Now she understood. The picture was coming into focus. She knew she was not the most compassionate person in her life. And during her time on earth; she really didn't care. She deemed others weak or soft. In her mind, she was the strong one. And anyone who didn't allow her to rule; had to feel her wrath. Truth be told, when others were happy; they annoyed her.

After all, she didn't have a very happy life; so why should they? Why should they laugh, play and prance around with glee; when her life was everything but those things. It wasn't fair and there was no way she was going to stand for it. She decided to teach everyone a lesson. Life was unkind to her so she decided to be less than kind to everyone else. That's the only way she survived it all. That's the only way everything made sense.

The only thing she didn't count on was the creation of Mr. Charlie Pumpernickel. He was her evil deeds that came back to haunt her. Like a rooster coming home to hatch; Mr. Charlie was a monster of her own design; and she was terrified of what she'd created.

Tucking the silvery watch back in his vest, Mr. Charlie winked at Bianca. After licking his lips mischievously, he turned slowly disappearing into the shadows from which he'd emerged. Bianca grabbed her temples sighing with relief as huge beads of sweat poured down her brows. This can't be real. This can't be happening her mind reasoned as she laid her head against the cold wet slab.

The sound of slamming doors echoed throughout the castle; rumbling like iron vaults. She trembled with terror as sinister whispers lingered in the shadows speaking in some language unknown to her. Bianca stared blankly; drawing her knees close to her chest. The mans words echoed in her head like ringing bells. 'This is purgatory! You will never escape! I am a beast of your own making!'

She shuttered. And at that very moment. She genuinely regretted every mean deed she'd ever released into the universe. But it was too late. As the strange man stated; judgement was set and she would spend an eternity paying for it! ~~

Dead Part 2...Mr Charlie Pumpernickel

When Bianca awoke she felt strange. Her mouth was dry. Her skin was cold. The hairs on the back of her neck lifted slightly. Fear and panic twisted her belly.

The last thing she remembered was a piercing pain in the back of her head. One of the girls had hit her but who? She grimaced and gently rubbed the back of her head. It didn't hurt so bad now. As a matter of fact, she really didn't feel anything right now; except uneasiness. But why?

Blinking slowly: her eyes strained to focus. Where was she? She was no longer in the woods. But lying on some cold slab of concrete. She pushed her self up with her hands glancing about the dimly lit room. Panic gripped her throat as a pair of lime green eyes peered at her through the darkness.

Bianca shrieked back in utter horror, falling on her backside as the green-eyed stranger moved closer.

"Shhh" he commanded with one bandaged finger to his lips. "No need to be alarmed. Welcome to purgatory!"
Bianca's eyes widened with fright as her lips hung loosely. She was frozen with fear; like a deer in headlight. The man wreaked of a strange presence; a fearful one! She wanted to cry out but no sound would escape her voice. Her vocals had shut down; literally. She felt light headed but unable to faint. Dizzy, yet able to focus.

She wanted to cover her face with her hands at the very sight of him; but she couldn't move her arms. Was some invisible entity holding her hands down? She couldn't tell. All she knew was now she couldn't move them at all. They felt like lead.

The mysterious man with hair as orange as a pumpkin starred deeply for a while. One of his bushy eyebrows was slightly raised as he ran his index finger across his lips. "You looked surprised to see me and I can't imagine why."

Bianca starred wildly with blared eyes. Who was this man? Where was she? Did he call that place purgatory? Was she in hell?

Now she was really frightened. She wanted to close her eyes, but her lids wouldn't shut. The sight of him was gut-wrenching. He was worse than any clown she'd seen. "Let me out! Please let me go!" her mind said but her mouth would not obey. It just hung there loosely, dangling. It failed her.

A sinister smile graced the mans hot pink lips. "Whenever people like you end up in a place like this. Your reaction to it all; always suprises me."

Alice In Wonderland - Mad Hatter

Bianca didn't say a word, yet listened attentively. She didn't know who he was or what he was talking about. All she wanted to do was go back to her old life. Go back home; where ever that was.

The man moved closer; extending his rag bandaged hands to her. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mr. Charlie Pumpernickel and I am all things you embody and are afraid of. I am your biggest transgression, I am your worse fear. I am your evil thoughts. I am your worst intentions. I am all you created me to be and more." He smiled an nodded stepping back slightly in some curtsie like fashion twirling his wrist in the air while slowly bowing his head.

"Please let me go!" Bianca whispered. The bass in her vocal cords still failed to obey her.

"I'm sorry." said the man. "I cannot do that. Judgement has been set. You must pay for your works!"...

Dead...

She lay there for a long time; perfectly still. "Is she dead? She's not moving!" Kathy's heart raced with adrenaline. Tiny sweat beads graced her forehead. Bianca didn't answer. Her eyes were still open with a tiny stream of blood running out of her nose. Had justice been served? Did she finally get what was coming to her? Did she finally get what she deserved?

Lindsey said they were only taking her into the forest to scare her. But then something went terribly wrong. Tempers flew; emotions ran wild. Kathy stood motionless over her tormentor. The veins in her hands bulged with blood as she still gripped the broken tree branch.

Bianca didn't look so big anymore. Now she was small; helpless even. Not moving; not breathing; just dead; with her hazel eyes starring blankly into eternity.

"May flights of devils bring you to your rest." whispered Lindsey as her eyes narrowed with a wicked twitch. She exhaled and closed her eyes and lifted her head towards the sky. All was well. All was peaceful. The kill was sweeter than she thought it would be...

Analysis Wuthering Heights; TV 1998 (Robert Cavanah and Orla Brady)

 Hello again boys and girls!!

I'm on a roll tonight!! But this time I wanted to write about a subject that has been on my mind, but I've put off writing about it. As you can see from the title, I'm reviewing the TV movie version of 'Wuthering Heights' starring Robert Cavanah and Orla Brady.

The first time I saw this film, I really liked it. The funny thing about these old literary classics is that, I never was interested in them when I was in school. If someone makes me read, I cannot enjoy it. I'm a free spirit. I have to discover things on my own in order for me to really appreciate it. Otherwise, it feels like some chore I must complete.

Now, if you clicked on this link, I'm sure you're already a fan of this age old classic. So we don't need to discuss what the story is about.

So what is my review about? I'm glad you asked!!

My review is more of an analysis of how the the director David Skynner put this production together. This is what I admired most about the film. It did not have any hot and heavy love scenes per se. But every moment of the film was intense. Really intense!

I mean guys, let's just face it, Heathcliff  was crazy! Half the time I didn't know if I should root for him or if I should hate him. I was totally confused.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the roller coaster ride. Half the time, I wanted to knock him out and at other times, I wanted to embrace him. (especially when he was a little boy) What I'm trying to say is I enjoyed the raw human emotion that rolled into absolute insanity!

And that my friends is what made this film so intense. It was that raw unabashed and unashamed love Heathcliff had for Cathy.

Someone on face book said this one day. It was so profound. I copied it. Don't worry, I'll give credit where its due. Here it is...

This discussion is taken from Anne Rice's facebook page where everyone is discussing Lestat...

This is what Rui Rato one of her followers said about Lestat...

"Maybe, but if anything his age did confer great charm that most younger men lack, and Tom Cruise also had a touch of violence and wickedness which is so very manly and which made him a Lestat that I believe is worth admiring. Passion comes with a touch of violence, we are animals after all, and I'm truly glad of it, for what kind of weakling, submissive emotion would passion be without a touch of crazed desire? To possess, to own, to consume. Passion is like a hunger, and I fail to appreciate the presence of any man or woman who is devoid such basic human savagery, I love it."

The first time I read this, I was blown away. This is exactly what I try to tap into every time I write. Raw, crazed, borderline insane desire that makes the heart beat and the pulse race. Now that my friends, is real passion. And this is what you'll get the opportunity to experience in this TV version of 'Wuthering Heights'

It was sad, dark and enchanting with the same crazed desire Rui Rato describes. I thought his quote described Heathcliff and Cathy perfectly. They were both insane; yet joyful to watch.

The pic below is young Catherine and Hareton...
I absolutely love this screen shot of their prelude to the kiss!!

PS.. the movie soundtrack is amazing!!!!!

Review: Dracula; Untold

Greetings everyone!

I hope everybody had a wonderful and safe weekend!
I know I did !!

This weekend I saw Dracula: Untold...

And guys let me tell you. If you have not seen it, check it out. You won't be disappointed. The way the movie ended, it looks like there will be a part II. If there is, I'll be there sitting in the front row.

I must admit, I was a little nervous. It's been a long time since I've come across a movie that grabbed my heart strings. However, Dracula managed to do just that.

Don't worry no spoilers!!

But this is what I liked most about this film. It was true to real life! And how is that you might ask? Well, let me explain. Life is no fairy tale.

Life is tough. Life will get you stuck in a bind so tight you might gnaw at your own arm just to be free. That's what happened to Dracula. He had to make a tough decision in a short amount of time. As the leader, he had to do what he thought was best in order to save his family and his kingdom. And you know what?

I don't blame him!

Sometimes, we make deals with the devil because no other doors seem to open up. Sometimes we don't have the option of doing what is right. Sometimes we are just trying to survive; trying to escape pain.

And this is what happened to Dracula. His back was against the wall, so he sought the aid of the only power he knew. An old ancient evil.

Folks, let me tell you. It was great. I loved it. If there is a part II, I will be there to see it. This film made me want to cry in some parts, because I totally related to Dracula's sacrifice.

I thought it was a very creative twist, to an immortal tale.

Long live Dracula (Vlad the Impaler!)
